Practice areas
James joined William Sturges in 2000 when it merged with Chethams. He became a partner at William Sturges in 2004 and was appointed senior partner in 2013.
James is the head of the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution department. He is an experienced practitioner, recognised as an expert in commercial dispute resolution and arbitration, and has expertise in high-value profile cases. James has been involved in several cases before the Supreme Court (formerly the House of Lords), Privy Council, Court of Appeal, and High and County Court.
His commercial clients come from various sectors, including hospitality, property, motorsport and professional football.
