Biography

Head of the Costs and Litigation Funding team at Clarion, Andrew joined the firm in 2001, created the department in 2011 and became a Partner in 2014. Andrew is a qualified Costs Lawyer, a Mediator and is a member of the Association of Costs Lawyers (ACL). Andrew is a Director of the Costs Lawyers Standards Board (the regulator for Costs Lawyers).

Significant experience in all areas of costs law and litigation funding. Main areas of strength are detailed assessment proceedings, solicitor/own client assessments and litigation funding, particularly in relation to Conditional Fee Agreements. Andrew has experience in a wide range of areas which include commercial litigation, professional negligence, insolvency and serious injury.

In November 2023, Andrew was ranked in the Top 10 most influential Costs Lawyers in the UK.

Andrew is ranked Band 1 in Chambers UK and ranked as a leading individual in Legal 500 for Costs Lawyers in the London market.
