Michael Howard

Biography

Michael Howard is a professional negligence disputes specialist dealing with claims against solicitors, insurance brokers, accountants, architects and surveyors.

He has built his expertise having previously built a successful defence practice for two leading professional indemnity and insurance law firms over a period of two decades. The experience Michael developed defending professionals is now deployed with effect working for claimants. He understands how best to run a claim against the professional and the issues the defence team, and importantly the insurer, will consider.
Michael’s practice includes running group actions and his expertise in this area has grown significantly since 2020. He has headed a team pursuing professional negligence claims arising from investment scams for various groups of clients (located internationally) arising from Carlauren, Northern Powerhouse Developments, MBI and Alpha schemes.

Michael deals with professional negligence claims under the Professional Negligence Pre-Action Protocol through to formal court proceedings. His experience includes various types and styles of alternative dispute resolution. He is known to achieve great results for his clients.
