Sonia Vilar

Biography

Sonia is an associate in the Commercial Dispute Resolution team in the Watford office. She is involved in a variety of contentious work ranging from representing domestic lender clients to private clients with an array of commercial disputes. Sonia focuses on disputes involving commercial contracts, professional indemnity and corporate matters, both within and outside the jurisdiction, including Hong Kong and Nigeria. In addition to civil litigation experience, Sonia has worked on a number of multi-million pound national and international arbitrations.

Sonia is commercially minded and appreciates the need to resolve disputes
cost-effectively. She has first-hand experience of the effectiveness of alternative dispute resolution, for example without prejudice meetings and mediations.
